MeraganaCom Offers online karaoke of about 3000 songs. User runs the music from website and sings along. The two voices are recorded together. Charges are only Rs149 per month. You subscribe for just one month and use any number of songs. You may or may not continue.
I paid Rs149 just twice. They found me very helpful in improving their service and offered me lifelong free membership. 

TaraanaCOM offers karaoke player and files of about 500 songs. The very look at charges reflects something fishy.
Level C all songs in our library $50 for 6 months
Level D all songs in our library $60 for 12 months
6 month value has been added only for the sake of addition - no one would avail that.

I paid them $60 and within two days, requested cancellation and refund because :-
1. While sign up, I expected around 6000 songs - twice the charges and number at MeraganaCom. The actual number was just above free Geetnet/Geetstar website.
2. I downloaded karaoke player. It worked only a day after I requested support. Same happened every time I tried to use player, even after cancellation, service off for thee days if three interactions were required. Support responded once in 24 hours.
First day : "We have your three IDs on record. Please let us know ID you paid for.". Can't they find it from own record?
Second day : "Please remove all history from cache and try again."
Third day : "We have corrected the problem at our end. Please try now".
3. Because our computers are not perfect, music/movie files played repeatedly do not end up in congruent times. Mixing music files and vocal voice, as required in TaraanaCom system is not smooth. Either music file or vocal voice overshoots.

I was informed that transaction was one-way and could not be reversed. Sensing a remote possibility of my own fault, I just avoided enforcing chargeback.

If a merchant can successfully dupe me - with zero tolerance, I spent Rs990 to recover fraudulent Rs99 from Airtel - you can imagine plight of customers, taking such losses as part of life.

Because they may be offering wonderful service to some satisfied customers and my failure there could be attributed also to my own incapabilty of using their service, I had forgotten the incidence.
Why should they trap my email address and spam me a year after ugly incident?
